5 Games Like Armored Core 6 That Will Make You Feel Like a Mech Master

Armored Core 6, a new action-packed mech game from FromSoftware, is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated games of 2023. We’ve made a list of other games with mechs that might help you pass the time.

FromSoftware has called Armored Core 6, the latest game in a long-running series, a “new beginning” for the series as a whole. Prospective players seem to be very interested in the game, which is why its latest gameplay reveal has more than a million more views than Starfield’s.

Those who are interested in the grimy look of the world and the amazing fighting machines at its center may be thinking about how they can get a taste of that before the game comes out.

1. Titanfall 2

It’s like a love letter to fans of the Gundam series, and it has a lot of well-known mobile suits. At first, the combat system seems easy, but when all its parts work together, they make for a surprisingly deep fight.

There is some customization, but not as much as in the Armored Core games. Even so, there are a lot of different ways to play because there are so many mobile clothes to unlock and choose from.

There are a lot of Gundam games that are similar to Armored Core in terms of how they work, but they aren’t as finished or well-reviewed. SD Gundam Heroes Battle Alliance can be played on the Switch, PS4/5, XboxOne/Series X | S, and PC.

4. MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries

If the cuteness of our last game has left a bad taste in your mouth, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will blast that taste away. Even though they are different, the MechWarrior series and the Armored Core series are often discussed together.

For example, the mechs in this series are slow-moving ground-based tanks that walk across the battlefield. The look reminds me of the first few Armored Core games before they focused on flight.

MechWarrior 5 takes place in a dark future where soldiers fight each other with customizable mechanical death machines. If you’ve heard that before, you know why it made the list.

The game is a good introduction to the way stats are measured in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. It can be played on the PS4/5, the Xbox One/Series X | S, and the PC.

5. Daemon X Machina

Daemon X Machina was made by a number of people who worked on Armored Core games before. Kenichiro Tsukuda, who is in charge of making the game, has said that he wants it to be a direct successor to the Armored Core series.

It is the latest game that is most like the Armored Core games. Its gameplay and principles are meant to be very similar, so they are. People often call it a mix of the Armored Core and Monster Hunter series from CapCom.

You fight in mechs that you can customize and build out of thousands of different parts. This gives you a lot of ways to play. You are given tasks by corporations, and you shoot from the third-person view with a soft lock-on. Even so, offensive builds are also a possibility.

Fans liked how the game looked like cartoons and how it was almost like another Armored Core game before FromSoftware made theirs. It can be played on both Switch and PC.
