London Files Season 1 Reviews: The past two years, which witnessed an OTT surge, have seen countless web series falling to a combined formula of sex, curse words, and criminality in the hinterlands, with just a handful standing out, including Mirzapur and Paatal Lok.
The film, directed by Sachin Pathak and produced by Jar Pictures for Voot Select, is a breath of fresh air in this crowded field.
Its essence harkens back to the slow-burning investigative thrillers of the 1980s, but it also has enough flavor and appeals to appeal to today’s viewers.
When a high-profile missing girl case quickly turns into a murder investigation, police officer Om Singh (Arjun Rampal) is called in to help solve it (Purab Kohli). Even so, the more Om digs, the more he learns about his son’s dark past.
Reviews of London Files
The visual narrative in the London Files alternates between old-school visual storytelling and strong, contemporary brushstrokes.
This is comparable to Sherlock Holmes and True Detective before it. Don’t feel as though you’re trapped in a time machine.
Keep an eye out for clues and plot twists that appear at the most inopportune moments. The trip’s unpredictability will provide you with a lot of entertainment.
Thank you to the director, Sachin Pathak, and the writer, Prateek Payodhi. They made certain that gun control and the European immigration problem were effortlessly blended into the film without making every Indian who went to Europe seem to be the victim.
Purab Kohli, Gopal Datt, Sapna Pabbi, Sagar Arya, and Eva Jane Willis appear in the film to assist Arjun Rampal’s talented officer who is tortured by inner demons.
There are six 30- to 38-minute-long episodes in all, yet they never seem too lengthy. Despite the fact that there are just six episodes, this is a high-quality program in terms of production, camerawork, and editing.
Super excited, just 3 days before Detective Om Singh unravels the dark secrets of London.#LondonFiles, a new original, streaming from 21st April on @vootselect.#LondonFilesOnVoot #VootSelect pic.twitter.com/0fUGkD65TF

Synopsis of The London Files
In the case of Amar Roy’s daughter, Detective Om Singh wants to find her. She hasn’t been seen for some time. A circle-shaped mark that looks like a snake biting its own tail is on the ground.
The more Singh learns about London’s secrets, riddles, and falsehoods, the less able he is to solve the case. He also has to deal with his own history, which is preventing him from solving the case.
Things get worse when Singh says that Roy is one of the people who might have done this.
