Minecraft bee farm build guide: Bees are friendly mobs in Minecraft. They live in nests and get nectar from flowers to make honey. Honeycomb or honey in a glass bottle can be gotten by hand, but there is a way to set up a robotic farm for it. Farms have always been a good way to get a lot of something without having to work too hard.
Here are the steps you need to take to make a bee farm in Minecraft.
Getting bees, putting out feeders, and other things are important for making a bee farm in Minecraft.
1) Put Dispensers and Observers in Position
First, players have to set up five dispensers and watchers so that they face down and are on a diagonal. These will check to see if honey is building up in beehives and nests. When honey is made, the people who give it out can use scissors or glass bottles to make honeycomb or honey bottles.
These dispensers and viewers will also be linked at the top with redstone dust.
2) Collection Area Below the Flowers and Observers
The next step is for players to set up a collection station right next to the row of watchers and dispensers. They need to dig a five-by-three-by-two-block hole. Then, they have to put redstone lamps two blocks below the main hole, one on each end.
As shown in the picture above, the block with the redstone torches will have powered rails, while all the other blocks will just have regular tracks.
Right in the middle, away from the row of dispensers, players must extend the main hole and put a chest that is connected to a hopper. That hopper must be right next to one of the regular rails that make up the place where things are collected.
Lastly, put a minecart with a hopper on the rails so it can roll from one powered rail to another while going over the hopper tied to the chest.
When the collection area is made, dirt blocks can be used to cover it fully.
3) Using Bee Homes and Hives to Breed Bees and Collect Them
Once the first part of the farm is built, players must look around until they find a bee nest and a few bees. The goal is to close off the area around the beehive and make as many of these mobs as you can. Also, make four beehives so that the new bees have a place to sleep at night.
Once there are a lot of bees and hives, users have to wait until nighttime to connect with them. When the bees are inside, they need to carefully break and collect bee hives and nests by mining them with a pickaxe that has the silk touch magic.
4) Putting Beehives and Bee Nests on the Farm and Planting Flowers
Lastly, users can put beehives and nests right under the row of observers and put flowers in front of them, leaving a block of room. Bees can’t get out of the small area where the flowers are so they can get juice if the farm is covered.
When the bees leave the hives and nests to get nectar and make honey in the blocks, the farm is done. As soon as the block’s state changes after making honey, the people watching will turn on the dispenser. Honeycomb things will then be taken out with shears. This will be picked up from underneath by the collection stand and put in the chest below.
