Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova will make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as the main antagonist of Deadpool & Wolverine.
Fans who were curious as to who Deadpool and Wolverine are teaming up against were given their answer in the Monday teaser release. Emma Corrin appears as Cassandra Nova, the main antagonist of the movie that will see Hugh Jackman’s legendary X-Men member Wolverine reunited with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.
Who is Cassandra Nova?
The third Deadpool film by Shawn Levy will be the first time Cassandra appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Often compared to Apocalypse and Mister Sinister as one of the most powerful X-Men villains, Cassandra is the malevolent twin sister of Professor Charles Xavier, the X-Men patriarch depicted by Patrick Stewart in the X-Men films and later the MCU.
Who Plays Cassandra?
Emma Corrin, a British actor, will play Cassandra, as seen in the film’s trailer. The trailer shows her in a bald avatar, levitating out of what appears to be Ant-Man’s huge mouth. Emma is well recognized for her role as Princess Diana in the Netflix series The Crown Season 3 (2020). She also appeared in My Policeman and Lady Chatterley’s Lover (2022).
What are the Powers of Cassandra?
Charles Xavier and Cassandra share the same superpowers. She possesses both telekinetic talents, akin to his most formidable pupil, Jean Grey, and psychic abilities, akin to her twin brother. Cassandra is a mummudrai, a parasitic life form that coexisted with Charles Xavier in their mother’s womb, according to the X-Men books.
Even though she attempted to kill him while he was still inside the womb, Charles protected himself by using a psychic blast, which caused their mother to miscarry and left Cassandra’s body stillborn. But she quickly put herself back together and vowed to vanquish Charles Xavier and his X-Men.

Cassandra is Famous for Which Prominent Work?
Cassandra is most notorious in the comics for leading an army of Sentinels into the mutant homeland of Genosha and committing the mass massacre of sixteen million mutants there, including the mighty Magneto.
An additional plot point in the ongoing X-Men ’97 animated series concerned the Genosha genocide. Nevertheless, the culmination of the most recent episode unveiled Mister Sinister as the mastermind, thereby delaying Cassandra’s entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe until Deadpool & Wolverine.
