As a result of filmmaker Andrew Jarecki’s recordings (and unexpected audio confession) with the affluent real estate heir, Robert Durst was apprehended on suspicion of the homicides of his missing wife and two others before the 2015 debut of The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst.

The Jinx: Part Two, the sequel to the documentary, debuted today on Max. It features additional interviews with witnesses, prosecutors, jurors, and others involved in the Durst investigation.

Life in prison was handed down to Durst upon his conviction in 2021 for the heinous crimes of murdering Kathleen McCormack, his spouse (who vanished in 1982 and for whom he had long been suspected), and Susan Berman, a close friend (who was executed-style in 2000). With respect to the 2001 homicide of his neighbor Morris Black, he was acquitted. He passed away in custody at the age of 78 in 2022.
