The Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 release window for the Universal Studios and Blumhouse horror film has been finalized. Jim Orr of Universal confirmed at CinemaCon that the sequel would be released in the autumn of 2025. That is approximately two years after the release date of the previous year’s hit on October 27, 2023. Despite its worldwide release on Peacock as well, the film grossed $291 million.
While neither the director nor the characters of the forthcoming sequel have been officially announced, Josh Hutcherson is anticipated to reprise his role as its protagonist. Beginning production is anticipated this summer.
Regarding the follow-up, Hutcherson stated, “We hoped it would connect with audiences, but I don’t think that anybody, even on our side of things, expected it to connect the way that it did.” “I can’t wait to return to the set. Our director, Emma Tammi, was amazing, and the world we got to play in was a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see what they will do next.
