Red Dead Redemption 2: The Top 8 Natural Landmarks You Need to See

Rockstar Games is known for making games with worlds that are very detailed and full of secrets and easter eggs for you to find. They already know that you want it. Even hoped for. This amount of complexity is, of course, also present in the environments. Even with bugs, Rockstar’s attention to detail is the best there is.

The game shows respect for the places that inspired it, making you feel as close as you can to visiting real sites without spending hundreds of dollars on the trip. These places show the different kinds of beauty that can be found in Red Dead Redemption 2.

8. Lake Isabella

In the western part of the Grizzlies, there is a lake that is almost completely surrounded by a huge mountain of frost and snow. When you go fishing or hunting in the area, the peaceful atmosphere helps set the mood and makes you feel more linked to nature, as if you and the mountain are one.

Around the frozen lake, the animals are as rare as the area is quiet. The legendary Sockeye salmon and the majestic and wild White Arabian steed are ready for you to find in the mountain range.

7. Guarma

There are beautiful trees, mild weather, and lots of animals to watch. Why wouldn’t you like it? If you talk to Arthur and the rest of the group, you’ll find out that getting stuck on the island is the same as being locked up.

The group is only there for a short time before they leave, but you can’t go back there for the rest of the game. Why not take in the sights?

While you’re trying to figure out how to get off the island, you can go to the beach, draw the animals you’ll miss if you don’t, or fight off the tiny dictators who want to run sugar cane farms on the island. No matter what, you should enjoy this “vacation” while you can.

6. Citadel Rock

Citadel Rock stands tall over the Heartlands in the middle of the second-largest mountain and most established state in the area you can travel through. It’s a place where everyone should stop and think about life while looking at the plants and animals that dot the land or hiding from the many people who are looking for you.

Most people think that Citadel Rock is based on a real plateau in Montana, which is just as amazing, if not more so, than its digital version. From the top or the bottom, you can see as far as the eye can see in West Elizabeth. It’s a great view either way.

5. Brandywine Drop

Just before you have to shoot someone on the top of Brandywine Drop, the cool air and rushing water will make you feel calm and peaceful. Brandywine Drop is one of the many rivers on the map, but because it is the smallest one, it feels more like you’re finding a secret.

If you move too quickly, you might miss this tiny fall and all of its tiny wonders if you blink too quickly. There are a few Legendary animals hiding here. They like the peace and quiet of the falling water as it flows into the Kamassa River.

4. Sea Of Coronado

In a land full of deserts and forests, the Sea of Coronado sounds like a completely made-up story. But right in the middle of New Austin and Nuevo Paraiso is a huge gap filled with fresh water. This is probably the closest thing to a beach that will be available outside of Guarma.

Mexico is just out of reach here and can’t be reached in the game, which is a shame because the map for it is as close to done as you can get without gameplay, but it’s still nice to look across the water and see the map that could have been. You’ll just have to be happy with a long, good look.

3. Calumet Ravine

The Calumet Ravine is a stretch of beautiful reddish-orange rocks and cliffs in the northeast of the map, in the state of Ambarino. It’s like a hallway to the river it runs next to. There’s no reason why the scenery here is so photogenic, and you should take some screenshots as Arthur or your player character stops to enjoy the rushing water and red walls.

Just to the west of here is the Wapiti Indian territory and the biggest waterfall in the game, Donner Falls. There are also a lot of cool little secrets to find in this area, like a witch’s cauldron next to a shack on the far east side of the gully.

You don’t know what they were doing up here, but at least they left some hair tonic inside.

2. Mount Shann

West Elizabeth is where all the action happens. You have Blackwater, where the famous heist failed, and Strawberry, which was a quiet western town until Dutch and his gang showed up.

The gem in the middle, though, stands on top and looks down at everything.

Stann Mountain. You can see a big rock in the middle of West Elizabeth from anywhere in the state. It’s the tallest rock you can climb in the game, and the view from the top is well worth the effort.

If the view doesn’t make you want to go, the secret at the top might.

1.  Pike’s Basin

Yes, Pike’s Basin has the bad name of being a place where all the gangs in New Austin hide out. If you only think about the bad things about this handy place to hide, you’ll miss the real beauty of this canyon.

You can only go to this place at the end of the story, in the conclusion.

The cliffs fully surround the area, making it feel more like a building than a natural place. It might seem odd to have so much nature to enjoy and then say that the Basin is like a house.

But don’t you think it shows the strength of the human spirit and the desire to make a home anywhere? It’s a beautiful and interesting thing.
