Miesha Theresa Tate is also known as Miesha Tate is a mixed martial artist from the United States. She is a former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion and a former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion who now fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Early Life of Miesha Tate
Miesha Theresa Tate was born on August 18, 1986, in Tacoma, Washington, to parents who were both born in the United Kingdom. Michelle Tate is her mother, and Rob Tate is her father; she also has a sister, Felicia Martin, who lives with her in the same house. During her adolescent years, she was a tomboy who loved spending time on playgrounds with the boys in her neighborhood. She went to Parkland, Florida’s Franklin Pierce High School, where she developed an interest in sports and finally selected amateur wrestling over basketball as her sport of choice.
She began wrestling with the men’s team her freshman year and remained with them until she graduated. In her final year of high school, she competed in and won the state championship for girls’ basketball. She went on to Central Washington University in Washington, where a classmate urged her to join the mixed martial arts (MMA) club while she was still a student.

Meisha’s first amateur fight was against Elizabeth Posener, a Muay Thai expert, in March of 2006. Tate had a 5-1 amateur record before becoming pro. In November 2007, she made her professional mixed martial arts debut. In April 2009, she fought Liz Carreiro to win the FCF Women’s Bantamweight Championship. Tate went on to win the Championship the following year after defeating Valerie Coolbaugh.
She joined a member of Strikeforce in June 2008. She beat Elaina Maxwell in her first match. Personal life of Miesha Tate
Miesha Tate’s ex-boyfriend, Bryan Caraway, who is a skilled martial artist, was her boyfriend from 2006 to 2016. When they were both attending Central Washington University, they met for the first time. Caraway also said that Miesha saved his mother’s life when she had an asthma attack while scuba diving with his father in 2014. She also saved the life of a six-year-old child while hiking in Nevada by carrying her on her back, even though her arm was broken.
