A brand-new episode of the well-liked K-drama Queen of Tears debuted on tvN on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 9:20 p.m. KST. The episode, which is also accessible on Netflix, followed chaebol heiress Hong Hae-In (Kim Ji-Won) and Baek Hyun-Woo (Kim Soo-Hyun) as they dealt with their relationship’s problems. Following their divorce, the two managed their uneasy relationship.
After being kicked out of the corporation, Hong Hae-In and her family were shown in Queen of Tears Episode 9 seeking refuge with Baek Hyun-Woo’s family. In the end, they agreed to work together to defeat Mo Seul-Hee and Yoon Eun-Seong. Hyun-Woo consented to give her access to all the material, but Hae-In made the decision to spare her family from the situation before it was too late. As the show came to a close, the two were facing their first challenge.
Queen of Tears Episode 9: Kim Ji-Won & Kim Soo-Hyun navigate their relationship amidst crisis
Hong Hae-In and her family were kicked out of the conglomerate Queens Group at the start of the most recent Queen of Episode 9. Before requesting that the family depart, Secretary Grace made arrangements for media.
Hyun-Woo, however, blocked their path with his van and drove the family to his hamlet of Yongduri before the reporters could take any photos. In the end, Hae-In’s family fled to Hyun-Woo’s family without using their financial resources or chaebol position.
Hyun-Woo begged Hae-In to stay with him until their predicament was addressed as his family dealt with the arrival of the Chaebol family. If she chose to stay with him, he asked, it would make their lives less terrible. Hyun-Woo’s family made arrangements for the chaebols to stay at their guest house following an unpleasant family meal. Hong Soo-Cheol was still grieving over the loss of his son and the departure of his wife Cheon Da-Hye as a result of Eun-Seong’s treachery.

While Mo Seul-Hee liked the luxury, her son Eun-Seong stated that he had different aims than her. He expressed feelings for Hae-In and a desire to bring her back at whatever cost. Hong Beom-Ja, Hae-In’s aunt, was concerned about her father and former Queens Group Chairman Hong Man-Dae’s health when she encountered an unknown man in the hamlet.
Meanwhile, Hae-In discovered a radio tape and realized it was hers from high school. She instantly remembered she had met Hyun-Woo in school, reflecting on the fate that brought them together. When she inquired about the recording, Hyun-Woo lied, claiming that he couldn’t recall whose tape it was. The next day, he attended to Hae-In before departing. While Hae-In took comfort in her mother-in-law’s food.
Eun-Seong began limiting Queens Group with his objectives and ambitions the next day. He intended to form a partnership in Singapore by 2025 to allow the group to market internationally. Meanwhile, he was wondering where Hong Man-Dae’s secret fund was. Eun-Seong discovered more information regarding where the fund could be.
Hyun-Woo had already arrived at that juncture and feigned to be unaffiliated with the conglomerate. Additionally, he lied about seeking alternative employment. He was accosted by Eun-Seong regarding the whereabouts of Hae-In prior to his departure.

Hyun-Woo deceived once more, claiming to be unaware of any specifics regarding the matter. Seul-Hee and Eun-Seong subsequently fired secretary Grace. Contrarily, it was the man in charge of the CCTV cameras in the vicinity of the hunting area whom Hyun-Woo encountered, who ultimately exposed Da-Hye’s true nature.
In the same way that Soo-Cheol was devastated by Da-Hye’s letter, the latter also harbored sentimental attachments to him. She decided to abandon him despite this, as she had originally intended.
In the interim, Hyun-Woo made the decision to prosecute Eun-Seong for his involvement in investment deception. Evidently, Eun-Seong devised a scheme to defraud the family of two trillion won through investments and enticed them with the resort deal in order to take their stocks.
Upon returning to the village, Hae-In experienced another episode of memory loss and passed out. Upon Hyun-Woo’s return home, she requested that he inform her of his scheme. Hae-In articulated her intention to engage in a collaborative effort in order to facilitate the return of the family and enable the former couple to finalize their separation.
In the interim, Eun-Seong learned of Hae-In’s ailment and approached the physician in confrontation. Having obtained no information, he departed. Prior to Hae-In’s appointment with the physician, Hyun-Woo apprised her of Eun-Seong’s visit.
Later, at the office, broker Pyeon Seong-Uk, who was implicated in real estate investment fraud, issued a threat to Hyun-Woo. Hyun-Woo was cautioned by the broker to remove him from the no-fly list. Eun-Seong, meanwhile, relocated Hong Man-Dae, which caused Seul-Hee to become perturbed. Eun-Seong opposed her plan to seize Hae-In’s position with Man-Dae’s securities, despite her desire to do so.
Eun-Seong completed the chapter by paying a visit to Hae-In. Hyun-Woo engaged in combat with Pyeon Seong-Uk and the thugs.
