Robert Shinn is the proprietor of Shekinah Church and 7M Films, a company he established to recruit social media dancers after numerous unsuccessful attempts to establish himself as an executive producer in Hollywood. Shinn has traditionally maintained the privacy of his personal life; however, the Dancing For The Devil documentary disclosed that he established Shekinah Church in 1994 as a service to the tightly bonded South Korean community.
The situation took a grim turn when Shinn began to require his church and management company members to work for minimum wage, while he used the money they earned to expand his businesses. Nevertheless, the conclusion of Shinn’s narrative remains uncertain, despite these accusations.
No Criminal Charges Have Been Filed Against Robert Shinn
Shinn has faced several claims, including sexual abuse, trafficking, and fraud. Despite the numerous complaints, Robert Shinn has yet to face criminal charges. According to the documentary Dancing For The Devil: The TikTok Cult, Shinn is still the pastor of Shekinah Church and the CEO of 7M Films. While no criminal charges have been filed, Shinn is still facing legal consequences for his roles in 7M Films and Shekinah Church.

Former dancers and members of Shekinah Church and 7M filed a legal action against Shinn and other religious leaders in March 2023. According to TODAY, the suit claims Shinn subjected his followers to “brainwashing, physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, manipulation, and exploitation.” Despite the attention around Shinn and his church, he has yet to speak publicly about the 2023 lawsuit.
Where is Robert Shinn Now?
Robert Shinn’s present residence is in Los Angeles, where he resides with his son Isaiah. However, his current whereabouts are unknown. In response to the Netflix documentary, his company, 7M, stated to the Daily Mail regarding Miranda Derrick’s family’s allegations.
After uploading dancing videos on TikTok, Wilking (now Derrick) and her sister Melanie achieved fame. Melanie and Miranda’s parents, Kelly and Dean, conducted a simulcast in which they claimed that Miranda had abandoned their family due to her affiliation with 7M Film Management.

Initially, everything appeared to be proceeding smoothly within the family. The family reported that Miranda severed nearly all ties with her former acquaintances and family, including excluding her grandmother from her social media accounts.
The statement stated that Miranda is a successful businesswoman, a devoted wife, and a daughter who is deeply concerned about her family, despite the assertions of her family. It is both pathetic and contemptible to attempt to transform her private family matters into a tawdry public scandal to garner views and influence.
