The Midnight Studio Ending Explained – All That Happened in the End!

Monday, May 6, 2024, was the broadcast date of the Midnight Studio episode 16 (finale) on ENA. The fantasy romance K-drama, which stars Joo Won and Kwon Nara, centers on the main protagonists defending one another from the realm of curses and spirits.

In the previous episode, Han Bom (Kwon Nara) became the target of Seo Ki-Joo’s (Joo Won) curse. Ki-Joo made the decision to return the magical camera to the netherworld since she was in danger of losing her life.

In the epilogue, Ki-Joo’s struggle to survive in the netherworld and save Han Bom is depicted. After Ki-Joo returns the camera, the angel of death divulges a significant secret, which complicates matters. The respective narratives of the main protagonists conclude happily in spite of several lethal difficulties.

The Midnight Studio Ending

Han Bom pays a visit to the Midnight Studio finale, where she revisits the location that Ki-Joo and she cherished, reminiscing about happier times. Since Ki-Joo’s departure, she reads the extensive log of text messages she has exchanged with his phone number. Each of them is identified as unread.

In addition, the episode depicts Ki-Joo incapacitated in the netherworld. He is awakened by a child named Im Yoon-Hae, who requests to accompany him. In episode 2, Ki-Joo captured the final photograph of Yoon-Hae with his twin, for context.

While engaging in lighthearted conversation, the child directs Ki-Joo towards the forepart of a wall. He then requests that Ki-Joo perform a similar superhero maneuver. Ki-Joo duplicates the child notwithstanding his reluctance, thereby gaining access to the realm of the living. Han Bom returns home in the following scene and observes Ki-Joo standing in front of her residence.

She initially believes she is experiencing a hallucination until Ki-Joo embraces her. The protagonists come to the realization that time passes slowly in the netherworld. While Han Bom has been in this position for a year, it has only been a few days for Ki-Joo.

Prior to their wedding, the couple agrees to date for all four seasons in the Midnight Studio conclusion. A photo session featuring Ki-Joo, Han Bom, Assistant Go, and Ji-Won concludes the episode. In general, the K-drama concludes on a positive note.

A Recap of Eepisode 16 of Midnight Studio: Why Ddidn’t Joo Won Come Back From the Netherworld?

Episode 16 of Midnight Studio opens with Han Bom practicing law successfully. Even after a year, Seo Ki-Joo has not returned from the netherworld, so she still feels alone. The sequence that follows transports viewers to the moment when Ki-Joo informed Han Bom of his plan to go to the risky location.

Han Bom did not want him to endanger his life by traveling to the netherworld. However, Ki-Joo was unable to allow the curse to ruin his girlfriend’s future. She eventually promised him that she would see him the following morning and sent him off.

Ki-Joo had to battle some ghosts in order to get to the netherworld’s gate. Upon his arrival on a day of the Black Moon, he was pursued by several floating spirits. He arrived at the correct location somehow, where the angel of death met him.

After Ki-Joo begged the death angel to remove Han Bom’s curse, the man has now given back the camera. A live person has no right to enter the netherworld, and if they do, they will be unable to exit there, according to the supernatural being. Ki-Joo was given two choices by the angel of death: either take the camera and save himself, or leave it and spare Han Bom. Meanwhile, Han Bom was attacked by ghosts that broke into the photo studio.

Ki-Joo stepped away from the camera to save Han Bom. The curse mark on her wrist vanished as the item performed its magic. Although she survived, Ki-Joo’s life was in jeopardy. He passed out after falling while escaping hovering spirits. Han Bom, on the other hand, waited for his boyfriend, who never showed up. Even though she’s starting to fear the worst, she puts on a brave front and waits for him.
