Guy Ritchie, one of the most famous action movie directors right now, has a new movie out called Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerre.
Ritchie’s movies don’t take long to get going, so we won’t either. What we know about Operation Fortune is as follows: Ruse De Guerre (just Operation Fortune from here on out).
Release Date of Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre
The date for when Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre will be out has changed a few times. The movie was supposed to come out on January 21, 2022, but the date was pushed back to March 18, 2022. Later, STX Entertainment, the company that made the movie, took it off its schedule.
There were rumors that this was because of how the movie portrayed Ukrainian gangsters. Lionsgate plans to release Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre in US theatres on March 3, 2023. Before it came out in the United States, the movie came out in January and February in other countries.

Who’s In Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre Cast?
After The Gentlemen was such a big hit, it was no surprise that Ritchie would bring back some of the same characters for a new story. Statham and Ritchie have worked together before on movies like Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Revolver, and Wrath of Man.
Hugh Grant, Josh Hartnett, and Eddie Marsan, who have all been in Ritchie’s movies before, will also be in the new action-comedy. Lourdes Faberes, Max Beesley, and Kaan Urgancolu are also in the cast, but they don’t have as much to do.
Official Synopsis of Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre
Here’s what the movie’s official synopsis says,
“In the film, super-spy Orson Fortune (Jason Statham) must track down and stop the sale of a deadly new weapons technology wielded by billionaire arms broker Greg Simmonds (Hugh Grant). Reluctantly teamed with some of the world’s best operatives (Aubrey Plaza, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone), Fortune and his crew recruit Hollywood’s biggest movie star Danny Francesco (Josh Hartnett) to help them on their globe-trotting undercover mission to save the world.”
Orson Fortune is both an elite spy and a private contractor. Nathan Jasmine, who is probably in the government, tells him to find a wealthy arms dealer named Greg Simmonds. Simmonds is thought to be stopping the sale of a dangerous weapon that was stolen (possibly from a government) and could change the way the world works and kill people. Fortune, much to his displeasure, puts together a team of very skilled people. They figure out that Simmonds can be stopped if they use his favorite movie star as bait since it is easy for him to fall for.

Fortune’s team gets Hollywood star Danny Francesco to join them. He has to stay with Simmonds so he can “get ideas” for his next movie. As in most spy stories, things don’t take long to start going wrong. The five spies must do everything they can to keep the weapon from falling into the wrong hands. But first, they have to save Danny before Simmonds finds out about their mission, and Danny’s cover is blown.
