Is Troy Aikman Married?

As for Aikman, he has been married twice since being dubbed Dallas’ most eligible bachelor. Aikman wed Rhonda Worthey, a former Cowboys spokeswoman, on April 8, 2000. They decided to separate in January 2011, and their divorce was finalised on April 12 of that year.

Alexa Marie and Jordan Ashley are the daughters of Aikman and Rhonda. On September 1, 2017, he marries upscale clothing retailer Catherine Mooty. The former NBA player took to Instagram to announce his engagement to his longtime girlfriend: “June 2, 2017 – A special day as I proposed to the love of my life.”

Aikman was linked to Sandra Bullock and Lorrie Morgan before he married for the first time.

The Cowboys drafted Aikman first overall in 1989. Tom Landry was sacked by new owner Jerry Jones on February 25th, 1989, and he was replaced by Jimmy Johnson. A few months later, Johnson picked Steve Walsh, who had played under Johnson at the University of Miami, in the NFL’s supplementary selection. The 1990 season began with Aikman as the starting quarterback and Walsh being moved.

On August 26, 1989, Aikman made his NFL preseason debut against the Denver Broncos. His first game in the NFL ended in a loss to the New Orleans Saints by a score of 28-0. Even though Aikman completed his first touchdown pass to Michael Irvin for 65 yards the next week, the Atlanta Falcons still won thanks to two interceptions.

He broke the NFL rookie record with 379 passing yards in a game against the Arizona Cardinals. Aikman finished his 1989 starting season with an 0-11 record, passing for 1,749 yards, 9 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions.
