TikTok and Lizzo are like peanut butter and jelly; they go together well. Her music provides the appropriate setting for creators on the platform, and her song “Truth Hurts” was the perfect accompaniment for the DNA test meme. Her music is also an excellent backdrop for any video game.
TikTok users videotaped themselves singing the part from the song that goes, “Just did a DNA test/turns out I’m 100 percent that ___,” filling in the gap with their own interpretation of what comes after the word “100 percent” in the song’s lyrics. The findings were frequently humorous, and as a consequence, everyone got involved in trying to come up with their own version of the “DNA Test Challenge.”
A TikTok DNA test challenge started because of a Lizzo song.
The challenge was inspired by the line “Just took a DNA test/Turns out I’m 100% that bitch” from Lizzo’s song “Truth Hurts.” Users swab their mouths and then shout out their own DNA results. There are also more stereotypical pictures of the results, like a French woman holding a loaf of bread and a glass of wine. Or a man from Britain dancing while wearing a Mr. Bean mask.
