Who is Brian Tyree Henry?

Actor Brian Tyree Henry is American. He received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work as Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles in the FX comedy-drama series Atlanta (2016–present). He’s also well known for his roles on This Is Us, How to Get Away with Murder, and Boardwalk Empire.

Who is Brian Tyree Henry in Big Mouth Season 6?

Henry was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and spent some time there while growing up. His mother, Willow Dean Kearse, was a teacher, and his father was in the military. Early in the 2000s, Henry, a business major who later became an actor, attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, and graduated from Yale School of Drama with a master’s degree.

With lead roles in Steve McQueen‘s heist picture Widows, Barry Jenkins‘ love drama If Beale Street Could Talk, and the animated superhero flick Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Henry had a breakout year in movies.

Additionally, he appeared in the 2020 films The Outside Story by Casimir Nozkowski, Godzilla vs. Kong by Adam Wingard, The Woman in the Window by Joe Wright, Eternals by Chloé Zhao, and Bullet Train by David Leitch (2022).

Prior to joining the original Broadway cast of The Book of Mormon, he made his stage debut in the 2007 Shakespeare in the Park production of Romeo and Juliet.

He previously performed in several plays at the Public Theatre (2011). He made an off-Broadway appearance in the musical The Fortress of Solitude in 2014. He was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his portrayal in Kenneth Lonergan‘s play Lobby Hero on Broadway in 2018.

Role of Brian Tyree Henry as Elijah in Big Mouth Season 6
