Having been in my first film twenty years ago, I had always had a strong curiosity about working behind the camera. Over the years, my directors have all been tremendously generous with their experience, and I have always been quite honest with them about my ambition to direct. I have the good fortune to have had excellent mentors who have assisted me in making this move.

One of my most fulfilling experiences to date has been co-directing Cine Vaquero with my boyfriend, Gerardo Gatica. Making movies is a team effort, and having a buddy and co-conspirator in the chair next me helps to make the process less isolating and encourages thoughtful deliberation.

It was exciting and natural for me to move forward with my friends from Netflix, especially since I had the opportunity to direct a few Club de Cuervos episodes.

I knew I could tell this narrative and that we had the ideal crew to bring it to the big screen the moment I picked up Technoboys.
