90 Day Fiancé’s Sarper Faces Allegations of Assaulting Shekinah Following Their Relocation to Turkey

Fans of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way are going crazy over Shekinah Garner’s accusation in the most recent episode that her beau, Sarper Güven, made a ridiculous on-camera mistake by tearing off her hair extensions during a furious argument. The conflict between 42-year-old Shekinah and 44-year-old Sarper reached a breaking point in the dramatic episode that aired on August 26. Shekinah’s fear of her family’s possible rejection of Sarper and their lavish lifestyle caused a rift between the couple.

Sarper Isn’t Liked by Shekinah’s Family

Shekinah’s admission that she had applied for her K-1 visa—a necessary step toward her future migration to the United States—started the argument.

When the visa was approved, Sarper said he wanted to visit the United States, but Shekinah acknowledged her family wasn’t overly happy about their connection. Actually, she’s been getting the cold shoulder from her mother and sisters.

Shekinah packed her things and left Sarper’s house after the altercation. She explained to them in the car that their vanity concerns were the root of their disagreement. Shekinah added that although Sarper claimed to have “changed his whole life” for her, he had accused her of not being willing to make sacrifices for their relationship.

As the drama came to an end, Shekinah disclosed that Sarper desired for her to return to the “old Shekinah” who would have accepted his advice without hesitation. It appears like there is more going on with this duo than a few misplaced extensions.

Shekinah and Sarper’s relationship has been an open book on TLC, revealing their trust issues and money problems. Shekinah later corroborated Sarper’s admission in the season 6 premiere that he was broke.

She revealed that while she stays with Sarper in Turkey, she never spends her own money, keeping her money for a life of luxury. Though Sarper’s financial circumstances make her feel a little bad, she isn’t prepared to pay for it herself.

“He is an adult. He’s capable of solving it,” Shekinah said.

Shekinah also considered why, rather than having Sarper pay her a visit in the United States, it is usually she who takes the plane to Turkey. She acknowledged that by making the trip every time, she felt that she was taking a more strong stand and becoming less feminine and more of the pursuer in their relationship.

To sum up, Shekinah and Sarper have a very interesting love life. Their relationship is a whirlwind of high drama and everyday hardships, from ripped hair extensions to financial problems.
