Many Elvis admirers may be curious about the whereabouts of Priscilla Presley following the release of two critically acclaimed films that chronicled her life with the King of Rock and Roll.
Elvis Presley married Priscilla on May 1, 1967, following several years of courtship. Lisa Marie, born on February 1, 1968, was the daughter of the couple. After she engaged in an affair with her karate instructor and he frequently engaged in indiscretions with his co-stars, the Presleys parted ways in 1972. In her memoir, Elvis & Me, Priscilla recounted her experiences with the “All Shook Up” vocalist.
Where is Priscilla Presley Now?
Priscilla Presley is still alive and living in California. Her daughter Lisa Marie died in January 2023 as a result of complications with a gastrointestinal blockage. Lisa Marie apparently emailed Sofia Coppola a series of letters about the A24 film based on Priscilla’s biography, Elvis and Me, before her untimely demise. Priscilla is also a producer on the film.
“My father only comes across as a predator and manipulative,” Lisa Marie wrote in the mail. “As his daughter, I don’t see anything in this figure that reminds me of my father. I don’t read this to get my mother’s perspective on my father. I read this and saw your terribly vengeful and dismissive perspective, and I’m not sure why.”

In a different email, she added, “I will be forced to be in a position where I will have to openly say how I feel about the film and go against you, my mother and this film publicly.” 😬
Priscilla Married Elvis When She Was 21
Elvis and Priscilla were united in matrimony in Las Vegas on May 1, 1967. According to People, the ceremony was purportedly brief, lasting only eight minutes. They embarked on a month-long honeymoon in Palm Springs, California.
Oh, and an interesting fact: According to People, their six-tier wedding cake would cost approximately $22,000 if purchased today.

Why did Priscilla Leave Elvis?
They continued for an additional four years. There was an official separation between the couple in 1972. Elvis was repeatedly unfaithful to Priscilla with multiple companions during their five-year marriage, as reported by People. In the early 1970s, Priscilla also engaged in an affair with her karate instructor, Mike Stone.
In 1972, she informed Elvis that she was leaving him, and the couple finalized their divorce in August of the same year, as reported by People.
“He wasn’t faithful, not that he had someone special, but when you’re in the entertainment business there is always that and I tried to turn my back to that, but I just didn’t want to share him,” Priscilla reported on Sunday Night News. Priscilla maintained that the couple remained close until his demise, despite their separation.
