According to Deadline, Universal Pictures has officially postponed the theatrical release date of Blumhouse’s impending Wolf Man remake, which had only recently begun production.
The supernatural horror film, which was originally set for release in October 2024, has been pushed out to next year, with a new release date of January 17, 2025. Its most recent release date will pit the remake directly against Sony Pictures’ Paddington in Peru.
Who Are the Wolf Man Cast Members?
Wolf Man will purportedly follow a family who is being terrified by a deadly predator. The modern version stars Emmy-winning Julia Garner (Ozark), Golden Globe contender Christopher Abbott (Girls, Catch-22), and Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid’s Tale), with Abbott as the title character.
Leigh Whannell, who helmed The Invisible Man, is directing the picture from a script co-written with Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum, and Rebecca Angelo. Before Abbott’s selection, Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling was attached to the lead role. Despite his departure, Gosling will continue to act as an executive producer, with Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner, and Whannell. Jason Blum produced it.
