A Career in Technology

Leach left IBM in the early 1980s to co-found Software Publishing Corporation, a software development firm (SPC). SPC created several well-known software programs, including Harvard Graphics, a leading presentation software at the time.
SPC became one of the fastest-growing software companies in the United States under Leach’s leadership. Lotus Development Corporation eventually purchased the company after it went public in 1987.
Following the acquisition of SPC, Ron Leach co-founded AristaSoft Corporation, another software development company. AristaSoft created software for the telecommunications industry, including NetComplete, a popular network management program.
Ron Leach established yet another software development firm, BroadJump, in 1998. BroadJump created software to assist internet service providers in managing their networks and providing better customer service.
BroadJump expanded rapidly under Leach’s leadership and was eventually acquired by Motive Communications in 2004.
