Recap: What Happened in Pokémon: Aim To Be A Pokémon Master Episode 8?

In the most recent episode, when Pikachu sees Whaleko jumping around like a ball, he gets very excited. Misty says that they can move like this when Whaleko fills their bodies with water. Brock says that this area may be known for Whaleohh watching, but this is actually Whaleko watching.

Pikachu finds it very fun, so he sits on the back of one of the Whaleko and starts to jump with it. But at this time, Pikachu saw something in the water far away and fell down. This was also a surprise for the team, who were having trouble figuring out who it really was. When it came closer, we saw that it was Lapras.

Misty sees that it looks scary and that there must be something wrong with it, and Brock agrees with her. Lapras is crying, but Ash recognizes it as the same Lapras he met and hugged in the Orange Archipelago.

Brock says that if it’s here, it must have been passing through this area on its way somewhere else. Then, all of a sudden, Lapras turned around and nodded. Misty says that he wanted Ash to be there because he wanted to show something. Ash and his friends agree with that, so they decide to ride Lapras.

The narrator is surprised that our heroes are headed toward the Lapras, who once went on an adventure with Ash around the Orange Archipelago. Later, they find themselves on a strange island that is full of holes and caves. Brock says that this must be the result of the seawater wearing away the land over many years.

Ash sees that all of the water Pokemon here look sad and down, and he wonders what’s wrong with them all. But Lapras points his head up to show them something. When they look more closely, they see that a Whaleko is stuck on top of one of the hills. Lapras wanted to tell them this, but he needed their help.
