Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 will premiere in 2023, as announced by Paramount+. Star Trek: Prodigy is a production from Paramount+ and Nickelodeon, created by brothers Kevin and Dan Hageman. The first half of the 20-episode first season of Prodigy premiered in the fall of 2021. In the late autumn of 2022, a new batch of 10 episodes of Prodigy was made available. Star Trek: Prodigy is a CGI-animated series aimed at a younger audience, but it has been well-welcomed by fans of all ages.

The release dates for the next three Star Trek series—seasons two of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, four of Star Trek: Lower Decks, and five of Star Trek: Discovery—are all expected to occur in 2023 as well.

A second season of Star Trek: Prodigy, also consisting of 20 episodes, was confirmed in November 2021, not long after the release of Prodigy season 1 on Paramount+. For now, it’s unclear whether the second season of Prodigy will be released in two 10-episode chunks, like the first, or if the whole thing will drop all at once over the course of 20 weeks.

When Will the Second Season of Star Trek: Prodigy Be Released?

The episodes for season 2 are still under production, but the show’s elaborate animation and production design, which won an Emmy, require time to complete.
