During an interview with Yahoo Sports, Kenny Omega was asked by Dave Doyle if the Golden Lovers are gay. When he asked Omega what he thought, she said, “Let people think what they want to think.” Later, he clarified that he has no problem with the LGBT community viewing Golden Lovers as their team.
Kenny Omega has also mentioned that his first Japanese friend was Ibushi. That’s why it’s so memorable when two underdogs get together and overcome incredible odds to achieve their dreams. Omega said that in the twenty-first century, anyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression, should have the same right to enjoy professional wrestling as anyone else.

Is Kenny Omega gay? No! The former heavyweight champion of the International Wrestling Guild is not gay.
He had a very close connection with Kota Ibushi, so much so that when they reunited, everyone assumed they were gay. To be clear, Kenny Omega is not a gay man in real life. He even cheated on his wife with several other AEW employees. Former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida was his girlfriend. It was also whispered that he was romantically involved with Riho. The year 2001 was Omega’s professional wrestling debut, and it came courtesy of the Winnipeg-based promotion Premier Championship Wrestling (PCW). He was the 2003 and 2004 PCW Heavyweight Champion, and the 2004 PCW Tag Team Champion. On October 17 during the 56th Anniversary Show of the National Wrestling Alliance, he challenged Petey Williams for the TNA X Division Championship, however, he was defeated.
Subsequently, on June 2, he defeated Nate Hardy, Chris Sabin, and Amazing Red to win an eight-man tournament, claim the Premier Cup, and become NWA Canada X-Division Champion. Omega was called to a week-long tryout by World Wrestling Entertainment after losing a match for Harley Race’s organization World League Wrestling to Keith Walker in September 2005. (WWE).
