Cobra Kai Season 4: Dallas Dupree Young and Oona O’Brien are the New Faces

Moviegoers of the 1980s will recall seeing The Karate Kid in theatres.  The story arc centers around Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio), a New Jersey teenager who moved to California with his widowed mother who’s struggling to adapt to single motherhood.

Mr. Miyagi, the maintenance man of Daniel’s apartment building, saves him from being beaten up by a gang led by bully  Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Miyagi makes Daniel his apprentice and begins teaching him karate.

Cobra Kai Season 4 Release Date and New Cast

In 2018, the YouTube series Cobra Kai, which featured Macchio and Zabka revisiting their specific role, film earned the movie a mini-reboot. The series picks up around 30 years after the happening of the original ‘Kobra Kai’. Season 4 of Cobra Kai will air in December, with the production on season 5 has already kicked off.

What Is Kobra Kai?

Cobra Kai is a sequel set in modern-day to the original ’80s Karate Kid films. Karate Kid III concluded with the characters Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence having moved on to different parts of their lives. Whereas life has been generous to Daniel, it hasn’t been kind to Jhonny.

In the show’s beginning, we see that Johnny is a senile old man who’s always angry and despondent at the world, working a succession of pointless jobs. With his wealth gone and his estranged stepfather verbally abusing him, he now currently resides in Reseda.

After using the karate skills he took during his high school days to save his teenage neighbor, he rediscovers his love for the sport and starts a new Cobra Kai dojo. As Byproduct, he attracts the attention of Daniel LaRusso, an accomplished businessman who owns a number of automobile dealerships.

Our Take From Season 3

Daniel traveled to Japan in Cobra Kai season 3 in an attempt to revive his failing car dealership. During his stay, he runs into both his old girlfriend Kumiko (played by Tamlyn Tomita) and his former arch-nemesis Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto).

Johnny opens a new dojo, Eagle Fang, and supports Miguel, who was wounded towards the end of season 2 in restoring his strength and agility. When Daniel and Johnny get preoccupied and put their karate dojo on hold, their disciples end up under John Kreese’s (Martin Cove) guidance, which leads to violent repercussions.

In the final episode, both Johnny and Daniel accept that if they are to beat Kreese and his henchmen, they must work together and put the past behind them.

What Will Happen In Season 4?

The Eagle Fang dojos and Miyagi-Do team up in Season 4 to defeat Cobra Kai in the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament. The destiny of the Valley has never been more tenuous as  Miguel and Samantha (Mary Mouser) strive to keep the dojo alliance, while Robby (Tanner Buchanan) gives it all in his fight with Kreese at Cobra Kai.

What gimmick does Kreese have planned? Is it possible for Daniel and Johnny to put their decades-old feud behind them in order to beat Kreese?

We believe that Daniel and Johnny will merge their combat techniques to defeats Kreese and Cobra Kai.
