Lisa Vanderpump Plans to Purchase Tom Schwartz’s Share of Their Restaurant Following a Cheating Controversy
West Hollywood, hold on to those drink glasses! There may be a significant upheaval occurring in the restaurant industry’s gloss and glamour.
Rumor has it that Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz’s venerable TomTom may be undergoing a significant makeover, according to people in the know and the always witty Peter Madrigal. That’s correct, the popular hangout they introduced in 2018 alongside Lisa Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd might be facing closure.
Lisa Vanderpump Desires To Change The TomTom Restaurant’s Name
In a recent interview with Sarah Fraser on the Reality Network, Peter Madrigal—a colorful character from Vanderpump Rules and a former SUR manager—spilled the tea. Peter claims that the recognizable TomTom signage may soon disappear.
He told The Sun, “I noticed the other night that the TomTom sign might not be there anymore.” “Looks like Lisa is renaming it Pump.”
Yes, in homage to the establishment that Lisa and Ken formerly operated, the restaurant and bar that once held the Toms’ names may soon be called Pump. “There’s a gate with the name Pump above it when you enter the building that was formerly TomTom,” Peter continued.
Lisa Vanderpump Is Experienced in Restaurant Ownership
Pump was owned by Lisa Vanderpump, the queen of glam and reality TV royalty, for ten years until she was forced to close it in 2023. Why? Well, arguments with her landlords about anything from exorbitant rent to disagreements over olive plants. Peter’s words suggest that she might be returning to the restaurant industry.
According to The Ashley, Lisa and Ken attempted to imbue TomTom with some Pump magic in the most recent season of Vanderpump Rules. This involved putting the Pump brand on the signage and bringing over some of the staff.
Is Lisa Vanderpump getting ready to fire the Tom family from their own restaurant, then? Peter is certain of it. Ken merely said, “I thought she already did,” in response to the question of whether Lisa and Ken were buying out Tom and Tom.
There has been no formal announcement on a name change as of yet, and TomTom’s website and social media accounts remain operational. It appears like the Toms may be hanging on, at least for the time being.
However, there are more changes in the Tom and Tom story. Schwartz & Sandy’s, their other business endeavor that they started in 2022, has been having trouble making ends meet. The restaurant has experienced a number of problems since the iconic “Scandoval” incident, including property destruction, negative online reviews, and boycotts by fans of Vanderpump Rules.
Peter claims that Schwartz & Sandy’s has devolved into a “ghost town,” a far cry from the busy hub it once was, which may portend the restaurant’s impending closure.
Lisa and Ken are doing really well in the restaurant industry, but Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz appear to be running into difficulties. They have not only continued to dominate their Los Angeles venues, but they have also successfully expanded their empire through a number of projects under Caesars Entertainment.
Their most recent project, Pinky’s by Vanderpump, has been moved to an autumn launch at the Flamingo hotel in Las Vegas. They already have Wolf by Vanderpump in Lake Tahoe and Vanderpump Cocktail Garden in Las Vegas.
Regarding Peter Madrigal’s audacious allegations about renaming TomTom, Lisa Vanderpump has not yet responded, and neither of the Toms has disclosed if they are being acquired. However, it’s evident that there is a lot of drama in the restaurant industry given all these recent developments.
