Bryan further stated, “I was present at the time of her daughter’s birth, and she is now three years old.” Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020.

In May 2024, a source informed Life & Style that Jon Bon Jovi was the leading candidate to replace Perry as the third judge of American Idol for Season 23. If the Bon Jovi rumors are accurate, this would be the first season of American Idol with three male judges.
“Jon is the unequivocal leading candidate to succeed Katy,” a source previously told Life & Style. “With unquestionable charisma and the status of a living legend, he possesses every quality required to command the stage and captivate television audiences.”
Additionally, former juror Jennifer Lopez, who presided over the panel from Seasons 13 to 15, is rumored to be considering a replacement for Perry, according to another rumor.
