Liam Hemsworth Looks Stunning in Geralt’s Appearance for ‘The Witcher’!

In 2022, Liam Hemsworth will take over as Geralt of Rivia from Henry Cavill. It’s been a while since then, and fans are eager to see how he looks as The Witcher. That day has finally arrived, and with a surprise! The report comes from Metro and SplashNews, who got new photographs of Liam Hemsworth in full costume as Geralt of Rivia.

Furthermore, it appears that Netflix will recreate the legendary Geralt vs. Vilgefortz duel in Season 4. Geralt struggled to defeat Vilgefortz in Episode 6 of Season 3, and the mage delivered him his behind.

We don’t know what purpose replicating the Season 3 sequence serves, but we expect to find out soon. If we had to guess, we don’t think they’re repeating the entire fight, but maybe some quick scenes from previous seasons for whatever reason.

Production on Season 4 of The Witcher is underway for a 2025 release. The new Witcher novel by Andrzej Sapkowski is scheduled for publication in the winter of 2024/25, and the Witcher: Sirens of the Deep anime is scheduled for release in late 2024.

Liam Hemsworth’s Geralt Seems More Accurate To The Witcher’s Book Description

Previous interviews with showrunner Lauren Hissrich and the creative team behind The Witcher have promised a more “lore-accurate” portrayal of Geralt with the casting of Liam Hemsworth, and this appears to be the case.

While some Cavill and show fans are outraged by Hemsworth’s recasting and complain that he lacks Cavill’s heft, Hemsworth’s slimmer physique is considerably closer to Geralt’s description in the books and games. While Geralt is clearly muscular and athletic, he is not like as enormous as Cavill, who has maintained his size since his role as Superman.

However, neither Hemsworth nor Cavill accurately portrayed Geralt as described in the books. He’s supposed to be sinewy and slender, covered in scars, and, quite frankly, strange to look at.

In the novel, he is described as having extremely pale skin and cat eyes as a result of the mutations he suffers while becoming a witcher. Aside from the white hair, neither exactly fits Geralt’s description from the novels; both actors are far too attractive for that. But it’s a positive indicator that Hemsworth looks similar to Geralt from the games.
