Usher Reveals His Son Naviyd, Stole His Phone to Message PinkPantheress, Later Caused Meeting Between Them!
While it is one thing to sneak your parent’s phone, it is quite another to do so behind their back. Usher’s son Naviyd risked everything by messaging his beloved singer via his superstar father’s Instagram, and it was a profitable decision.
Usher disclosed the endearing tale of his adolescent son and PinkPantheress’s connection, in which Naviyd used his direct message feature on his phone to initiate contact with the Heaven Knows singer in the hopes that she would return the favor.
Usher started his Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 24, saying, “So a week or so ago, my son, Naviyd, stole my phone so he could DM his favorite artist @pinkpantheress.”
Then, on April 9, Usher posted a screenshot of his Instagram chats, demonstrating that Naviyd had taken a jab at PinkPantheress in the direct message. The adolescent said, “Hello, this is Usher’s son Naviyd. I’m your true biggest fan. Please follow me back,” before informing her that he had shown his father her songs. “I placed him on works of art.”

She said, “Hahahahahaa, this is wild!” in disbelief. “Now I just so happened to check my DMs earlier this week and saw a message exchange from someone with a Powerpuff girl as their prof pic…,” Usher added in later Stories.I open it thinking, “What the hell is this [side eye emoji], this boy has DM’d this girl from my damn phone?”
Usher intervened to direct the conversation after Naviyd sent a few more messages expressing his amazement that PinkPantheress had seen the message and liked one of his postings. The R&B singer added, “My son is a super fan… I’m so sorry.”
He shouldn’t apologize, the British bedroom pop singer said, adding that she would be happy to have them stay at one of her next tour stops.
Usher went on to say that although the teenager had taken his phone to get in touch with her, he was hesitant to allow his son to go since Naviyd is such a huge admirer of PinkPantheress and he couldn’t refuse his son this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He later texted, “My son is at [your] show tonight.”
“Given his degree of passion and inventiveness—to figure out how to gain your attention by snatching my phone—I had to send him. That’s dedication. I hope you can all connect.
Since he met Pinkpantheress backstage at the Brooklyn Bowl event, it appears like Naviyd received the full VIP treatment when he arrived at the Nashville stop of the Capable of Love Tour earlier this week. The son of Usher shared a number of pictures from his incredible concert night.
Initially, Usher pretended his adolescent son was not permitted to attend, claiming he was there to teach him a lesson. However, he changed his mind and stated, “I decided to let him go because my son is such a fan of her artistic prowess.”
Subsequently, the “Yeah!” singer sent the artist an additional photo of his direct messages, writing, “My son is attending your performance tonight. Considering his level of commitment and ingenuity—to devise a plan to get your attention by hijacking my phone—that is commitment—I was compelled to send him there. “I hope everyone is able to link up.”
An additional image that followed featured the British singer and Naviyd, alongside a FaceTime clip of Usher interacting with PinkPantheress. The song “Parental Takeaway” was written by Usher. “This was a great moment for Naviyd…this was him movin’ on something he was passionate about.”
“He did, in fact, breach my trust, and as a result, I will never again give him access to my phone; however, I ought to have recognized his fallibility. However, I appreciate his effort and the hustle he put forth to make it happen. From the artist to a text to a performance. “He orchestrated and executed the entire undertaking,” the singer further stated.
