Richard Stephen Sambora (born July 11, 1959) is a prominent American musician, songwriter, and producer. From 1983 to 2013, he served as the main guitarist for the rock band Bon Jovi. Together with lead vocalist Jon Bon Jovi, they comprised the band’s primary songwriters.
Additionally, he has released three solo albums: Undiscovered Soul (1998), Stranger in This Town (1991), and Aftermath of the Lowdown (September 2012).
Sambora was a member of Bon Jovi when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. At the induction ceremony, he reunited with his former bandmates for a performance. Alongside Orianthi, he established the duo RSO in that same year. In May, following the publication of two EPs, the duo issued their debut album, Radio Free America.

In 2007, Sambora entered rehabilitation for his alcoholism and narcotic dependency. In Orange County, California, Sambora was apprehended on suspicion of driving under the influence in March 2008.
