The British artist Robbie Williams is the subject of the upcoming Australian biographical musical drama film Better Man. Jonno Davies will portray the younger Williams, who will be portrayed by the actor himself.
Paramount Pictures has set a December 25, 2024, release date for the movie in US theaters. A broader release is slated for January 17, 2025.

The release date of Robbie Williams’ biography Better Man has been revealed by Paramount after considerable anticipation: late 2024.
The film will be released in the US on December 25, 2025, and the UK on January 17, 2025, according to a February 2024 announcement by the production company. The movie’s trailer hasn’t been released yet, but it should be available very soon. Production on the film began in May 2022.

Who will star in Robbie Williams’ ‘Better Man’?
Robbie Williams is slated to portray himself in the forthcoming biopic. The Stoke legend will play the lead role, while the younger version of Robbie is portrayed by 29-year-old British actor Jonno Davies, who was observed dancing on London’s Regent Street while dressed as the star.
Gary Barlow, a bandmate of Robbie’s from Take That, is portrayed by Jake Simmance, Jesse Hyde as Mark Owen, Liam Head as Howard Donald, and Chase Vollenweider as Jason Orange. Stella Steadman portrays his mother Betty, whereas Steve Pemberton portrays his father Peter.
Development of Better Man Release Date
The project was initially revealed in February 2021 with Michael Gracey credited as co-writer and director. Oliver Cole and Richard Gleeson also contributed to the script, and Gracey produced alongside Craig McMahon for McMahon International and Jules Daly for Big Red Films.

It was revealed later that year that additional financing had come from the Producer Offset and Film Victoria incentive programs run by the Australian government. Roadshow Films will distribute the movie in Australia and New Zealand, while Rocket Science will handle overseas sales.
The project, which has been called a satirical musical, is said to span three decades of Robbie Williams’ career, from his first hit as part of Take That to his ups and downs. Some of his tracks would reportedly be “reinterpreted and recontextualized” by the initiative. Jonno Davies will portray the younger Williams, while William himself will play the role. Last Day Hollywood had before revealed that a computer-generated monkey would play Williams.
