Tina Turner is not dead; the singer is still alive and well in 2023, despite the internet spreading a death hoax about her.
Tina Turner is a legendary musician known for her electrifying live performances and powerful voice. She has received numerous awards and is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Rumors about her health and even death have circulated in recent years. In this article, we will look into what happened to Tina Turner and determine whether she is dead or alive.
Who is Tina Turner?
Tina Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush, Tennessee in 1939. She grew up in poverty because her parents were sharecroppers. She began singing in a church choir as a teenager and later began performing with local bands.
Tina met Ike Turner, a musician who became her musical partner and husband, in 1960. They formed the Ike and Tina Turner Revue and their music was an instant success.
Their signature sound blended R&B, rock, and soul, and they went on to have hits like “Proud Mary” and “River Deep – Mountain High.”

YouTube Death Hoax
YouTube videos falsely claimed the singer died suddenly at the age of 83, just a few weeks after her son died.
On January 8, 2023, a YouTube video claimed that Tina Turner died of laryngeal cancer, shortly after her son Ronnie died of colon cancer.
“One month after the death of her son, Rock ‘n’ Roll Queen Tina Turner suddenly passed away (83),” the video’s title read. We found no credible reports claiming Turner’s death.
This is a particularly disturbing death hoax because it occurred shortly after Turner’s son died in December 2022. Turner has struggled with a number of health issues in recent years.

My saddest moment as a mother. On Thursday, July 19 2018, I said my final goodbye to my son, Craig Raymond Turner, when I gathered with family and friends to scatter his ashes off the coast of California. He was fifty-nine when he died so tragically, but he will always be my baby pic.twitter.com/XzZQCdz8tl
