The Flash: Cast
The Flash will feature an impressively packed cast. Of course, Ezra Miller will reprise their role as the Scarlet Speedster in the DCEU, but they will be accompanied by a number of recognizable names from DC’s history. As of this writing, The Flash’s current cast consists of:
- Ezra Miller – Barry Allen / The Flash
- Michael Keaton – Bruce Wayne / Batman
- Sasha Calle – Supergirl
- Ben Affleck – Bruce Wayne / Batman
- Kiersey Clemons – Iris West
- Maribel Verdú – Nora Allen
- Ron Livingston – Henry Allen
- Michael Shannon – General Zod
- Antje Traue – Faora-Ul
- Temuera Morrison – Thomas Curry
Numerous noteworthy individuals in this cast are likely to be recognizable from past DC productions. Ben Affleck and Temuera Morrison are believed to reprise their roles as the DCEU versions of their respective characters, while Michael Shannon and Antje Traue are speculated to portray alternative versions of their Man of Steel characters.
Ron Livingston will replace Billy Crudup in the role of Henry Allen (after Crudup had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts). And the film’s greatest star, Michael Keaton, reprises his role as the Dark Knight from Tim Burton’s landmark films Batman and Batman Returns.
What is The Flash about?
The plot of the next Flash film has been kept mostly under wraps. We do know that it will be greatly influenced by DC’s Flashpoint storyline, in which Barry Allen travels back in time to save his mother Nora, altering history and resulting in a drastically altered future.
We also know that he will meet Michael Keaton’s Batman and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl on this adventure. Unknown is the role that Ben Affleck’s Batman will play in the DCEU. The recent publication of a poster with the slogan “Worlds Collide” proved this.
