Jessie Lemonier Death: 25-Year-Old Former Detroit Lions Linebacker Dies!

An outside linebacker for the NFL, Jessie Nathaniel Lemonier. He was a USFL player for the Los Angeles Chargers, Detroit Lions, and Birmingham Stallions (USFL). In 2020, after playing college football with the Liberty Flames, he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chargers.

The Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL) confirmed on Thursday that 25-year-old American football player Jessie Lemonier had passed away.

The NFL club expressed their sorrow and sadness on the loss of former player Jessie Lemonier in a statement. “Saddeningly, Jessie’s untimely death took away a beautiful young guy and a wonderful colleague. During this time of loss, may God’s peace and comfort rest upon his family and friends “In other words, it was an addition.

There has been no official announcement regarding the cause of death. Mr Lemonie’s birthday was Tuesday, and he would have turned 26 then. His agent, Drew Smith, recently told ESPN that the NFL athlete and his longtime partner are expecting their first child together. Mr Lemonier, after attending Liberty University, reportedly began his professional career in 2020 with the Los Angeles Charges. He signed with the Detroit Lions for the 2021 season and played in seven games, tallying 17 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Mr Lemonier signed on with the Arizona Cardinals in May of 2022, but he was cut before the start of the regular season. Since then, he has been without an NFL team, although he is now scheduled to play for the Birmingham Stallions in the upcoming April–May 2019 season of the US Football League.

Jessie Lemonier Career

Following the 2020 NFL Draft on April 26, 2020, Lemonier signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent. To make room for new players, he was released from the active roster on September 5, 2020, and signed to the practice squad the following day. On September 26th, 2020, he was added to the active roster, then on October 24th, 2020, he was waived, and four days later, he was re-signed to the practice squad.

His return to the active roster on November 7 was followed by his release on November 28, 2020, and his subsequent re-signing to the practice squad four days later. For the team’s week 15 game against the Las Vegas Raiders on December 17, he was promoted to the active roster from the practice squad. On 12/26/2021, he was added to the team’s active roster.


The Chargers released Lemonier on August 31st, 2021.
