Ahead of the release date for The Oblivion Battery on Crunchyroll, viewers are speculating as to when they can begin streaming the television series. Oblivion Battery was adapted by Studio MAPPA from the baseball manga series of the same name, which Mikawa authored and illustrated. The film adaptation was directed by Makoto Nakazono. The release date for The Oblivion Battery on Crunchyroll is Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Boukyaku Battery or Oblivion Battery is a film about a group of young adults who share a passion for baseball. As a junior in high school, Harkuka was a prodigious pitcher and Kei was an extraordinary catcher.
Nevertheless, everything altered drastically when Kei developed memory loss. Upon transferring to a different educational institution, they encounter a cohort of peers against whom they had previously triumphed. It becomes immediately evident that each individual still harbors a strong affection for baseball. The adolescents make the decision to establish their own baseball organization after discovering that none exists at the school.

Toshiki Masuda provides the audio of Haruka Kiyomine, Mamoru Miyano portrays Kei Kaname, Yuki Kaji portrays Taro Yamada, Yohei Azakami portrays Aoi Todo, and Nobunaga Shimazaki portrays Shunpei Chihaya.

This year’s spring schedule will include Eko Mikawa’s highly anticipated baseball anime Oblivion Battery. Mrs. Green Apple is expected to play the opening song, “Lilac,” while Macaroni Enpitsu will perform the ending song, “Wasurena Uta.”
The anime will star Toshiki Masuda as Haruka Kiyomine and Mamoru Miyano as Kei Kaname. The cast will include Yōhei Azakami as Aoi Todo, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shunpei Chihaya, and Yūki Kaji as Taro Yamada. Yoshitaka Yamaya, Takeo Ōtsuka, and Mark Ishii will co-star as Tsuchiya, Eiichiiro Kokuto, and Hironobu Makita.
Makoto Nakazonos is directing the anime at MAPPA, with screenplay by Michiko Yokote. Takeshi Iida has joined the team as an associate director, with Hitomi Hasegawa overseeing the character design. Tomoki Kikuya and Hiroko Yamasaki will be in charge of the soundtrack.
