The man who used to play for the Carolina Panthers and his wife Kia had their first child, a boy they named Chosen Sebastian, on December 14, 2015. After that, the pair had three more children together.
Their three children are a girl named Sovereign-Dior and two younger sons named Camidas and Cashmeres. Newton is also the father of Kia’s daughter Shakira, who was born after a relationship ended badly.

When Did He Break Up With Kia Proctor?
They broke up in January 2020 after it came out that Cam Newton had a child with La Reina Shaw. Newton told the show The Pivot that his mistake hurt Proctor and put his family in danger.
Newton said he didn’t care what other people thought anymore because he was focused on being the best parent he could be to his kids, even if it was embarrassing. He stressed how important it was to talk about real-life problems and points of view.
Newton seems set on co-parenting his kids with Shaw and Proctor, even though they broke up. Since he split up with Kia Proctor, Cam Newton has spent more time with his kids, including La Reina Shaw. Beginning at the end of January 2011, Newton began working out with George Whitfield Jr. in San Diego. Whitfield has worked with players like Akili Smith and Ben Roethlisberger before.
On April 28, 2011, Newton was picked by the Carolina Panthers with the first overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. As of now, only Carson Palmer has won the Heisman Trophy and also come in first place overall.
He was also Auburn’s first pick in the fourth round, after Aundray Bruce (1988), Bo Jackson (1986), and Tucker Frederickson (1965). In school history, he was the first player to be picked in the first round of the draft. He was also the fifth player from Blinn College to be picked in the draft.
When the NFL was locked out in 2011, he trained at the IMG Madden Football Academy in Bradenton, Florida, for up to twelve hours a day. Chris Weinke, a fellow Heisman Trophy winner and former Panthers quarterback, taught him one-on-one for up to two hours a day.
Newton told Panthers owner Jerry Richardson that he didn’t have any tattoos or piercings and was thinking about letting his hair grow out. Richardson told Newton to keep his look clean-shaven before the draft.
Some people didn’t agree with Richardson’s comments because other players on the team didn’t follow these rules. Dave Zirin, a writer for TheNation.com, even said that Richardson was racist.
Newton, on the other hand, did what Richardson asked and was still picked first overall. After David Tepper bought the team from Richardson, Newton finally started to let his hair grow out.
