Robert Downey Jr. House Tour: Visit The Charming Windmill House In The Hamptons

Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man, and his wife Susan Downey, who is a Hollywood producer, showed off their unusual summer home, the East Hampton Edward DeRose Windmill Cottage. Robert has a reported net worth of around $300 million. Curbed says that the home was built in 1885 and had a price tag of $11.9 million.
The fairytale-style house was first used as a playhouse. It looks like a windmill, but it doesn’t work. The house is also full of unique artwork and fun details, like the 15-foot praying mantis sculpture by Andrius Petkus on the front lawn, and a few design-worthy touches, like the fireplace, that make it stand out. The main house and the guest house together have 8,500 square feet of space.
