The Santa Barbara News-Press said in her obituary that actress Kymberly, who was known for her roles in Ghostbusters and Romancing the Stone, died at the age of 65. Kymberly died “peacefully” on October 28 in Santa Barbara, California.

Kymberly was born in Lompoc, California. Her obituary tells about all the exciting things she did and places she went in her life. During her career, Kymberly “grac[ed] the cover of more than a dozen magazines, both local and international,” according to one source.

E! News says… She got her start in the modeling business as a Playboy Playmate, which she did online and with Playboy. Kymberly was named Playmate of the Month for March 1981. She played the role of the playmate that she did in real life in the movie Beverly Hills Cop II.

Kymberly is known for playing a ghost in the movie Ghostbusters, where she had a romantic scene with Dan Aykroyd. Even though the project was done in 1984, Dan still thought about the time he spent with Kymberly a few years ago.

In March 1981, Playboy named her Playmate of the Month and featured an interview with her in which she revealed her other talents.

Kymberly told the outlet at the time that she played the flute as well as the guitar. “I used to ride my bike down there when I was a student at Santa Barbara City College and park beside a fiberglass tunnel.” I’d sit there, where I could watch the sunset over the Pacific, and play my flute down the tunnel.

According to the New York Post, the starlet died on Nov. 16, 2022, just a few weeks after Kymberly died on Oct. 28, 2022, at the age of 65. The Santa Barbara News-Press published her obituary but did not reveal her cause of death.

“If you are moved, please make a donation in Kym’s memory to the American Cancer Society to further research into the prevention and treatment of breast cancer,” the obituary said. Her niece, Theresa Ramirez, confirmed Kymberly’s death on Facebook on October 28, 2022. “They’re all together now. Kymberly Herrin, your aunt. “I love you,” she captioned a photo of the late actress and other family members.
