Audiences wonder what season 8’s cast and the story will be like if it will happen at all. Legends of Tomorrow has been the CW’s plucky little program that might for seven seasons. When it first aired, it nearly felt like a dumping ground for characters dropped from other Arrowverse programs due to cast size. But it evolved into the Arrowverse’s most delightfully bizarre and quirky show.
“Knocked Down, Knocked Up” has a lot going on. The season has been a war between Gideon, the evil AI, and the ragtag bunch of Legends. In the episode, the Legends were enjoying normal lives, free of timeline policing. Sara is even pregnant. What they don’t know is that Gwyn has gone back in time to 1916 Mametz Wood to replace Alun with a robot. When the Legends travel back in time, they meet Donald Faison’s Booster Gold.

Is Legends of Tomorrow season 8 Releasing?
The CW has yet to greenlight the eighth season of Legends of Tomorrow. However, the network has yet to renew any of its scripted programmings for the 2022–2023 TV season, which is the most likely explanation.
Since there are more episodes in the past than the present, there is no guarantee that Legends will not be around for a long time. However, its seventh season has witnessed an uptick in viewing figures, and the creative team isn’t planning on its seventh season being it’s final.
Phil Klemmer, the show’s co-executive producer, said at last year’s Comic-Con@Home panel that he hoped to see the fans “next year in real life.” Co-showrunner Keto Shimizu also disclosed to TVLine that the seventh season’s series finale-like end is not being scripted as a series finale.
It’s best to wait and see if Legends of Tomorrow season 8 happens, but given that it’s one of the most reliable shows on the network and a veteran Arrowverse series like it deserves the chance to end its own story (and not be abruptly canceled), it’s highly likely that the show will return for at least one more season.
The Expected Plot of Legends of Tomorrow season 8
The conclusion of Legends of Tomorrow season 7 laid the stage for a thrilling Legends of Tomorrow season 8. In the climax, three major events occurred. First, Booster Gold was introduced.
Sara Lance also found out she’s pregnant, which will affect a number of individuals’ lives. Citizen Steel, a.k.a. Nate Heywood, also left the squad. Sara’s baby inheriting Sara’s regeneration ability will undoubtedly be a major plot point for a possible Legends of Tomorrow season 8. A newly rescued Alun joining the Waverider also suggests he’ll have a role in the tale next season. And, aside from his double-double-cross at the end of Season 7, Booster Gold’s father, former Legends leader Rip Hunter, will undoubtedly play a role in Season 8.
The Expected Cast of Legends of Tomorrow season 8
In the penultimate episode of the seventh season of Legends of Tomorrow, a character dies.
The majority of the cast from Season 7 should return for Season 8, including Caity Lotz as Sara Lance, a.k.a. White Canary, Amy Louise Pemberton as Gideon, Matt Ryan as Dr. Gwyn Davies, Tom Forbes as Alun, Lisseth Chavez as Spooner Cruz, Adam Tsekhman as Gary Green, Jes Macallan as Ava Sharpe, Olivia Swann as Astra Logue, Tala Ashe as Zari Tarazi, Nate Heywood, played by Nick Zano, was sadly killed off in the season 7 finale. However, Donald Faison’s “Mike,” a.k.a. Booster Gold, was cast in a potentially pivotal position on the show.
