When Is Good Girls Season 5?
The Good Girls were supposed to return for a fifth season that would be shorter. It was also scheduled to be the show’s final season on Netflix. Since then, however, it has been canceled. The show’s creators have confirmed that the fifth season will not be renewed and that the fourth season was the final season of the dramedy.
We’ve got some great news regarding the upcoming fifth season to share with you. This crime comedy series will end on NBC on June 25, 2021, according to a corporate statement. The network’s executives also stated that they were not interested in selling the show to any other networks or streaming platforms. According to sources, a fifth and final season of the show was in the works, but it fell through. It didn’t matter how popular the show was on Netflix or how many people saw it in advance since it bombed on NBC.
Insiders claim that Universal Television analyzed the data to see if the show would be commercially viable on Netflix. Things may not have worked out since Netflix would have had to spend more on production costs.
Thanks to Netflix, the show got some decent views. A Netflix Original outside of the US, the show was marketed as such. NBC canceled the show despite all of these criteria. There will be no new seasons after Season 5.
Why Did NBC Discontinue It?
Following the cancellation of the show due to a lack of funds and scheduling conflicts, NBC had intended to bring it back for a final eight-episode run. According to rumors, the two were not very friends with one another. In addition, the actor wanted a higher monetary recompense, making it impossible for the channel to bargain with him.
Good Girls wasn’t a huge hit on the television network. Because NBC was losing money, the wages of the actors had to be slashed. Montana was dissatisfied with the wage decrease, despite the fact that the three key actors had agreed to it.

Were There Any Internal Conflicts Behind the Scenes of the Show?
Season 5 of Good Girls may have been canceled because of a disagreement between the actors and staff. The show’s starring females appeared to be on board with the decision to wrap things up. According to TVLine, Hendricks’ refusal to bargain may have been a contributing factor. A source tells us that Manny Montana, the actor that portrays Beth on the show, was unwilling to accept a lower salary.
They were also rumored to be an off-screen romance, but they described their relationship as businesslike and hinted that they aren’t precisely buddies. “No one in my life calls me Chris,” Hendricks said in an interview at the 92nd Street Y. Not my real name. It’s utterly ridiculous, in my opinion. And he hasn’t had the opportunity to realize that I despise it,” he says.
Is Good Girls 5 Over Budget?
According to TVLine, NBC and the entire ensemble were set to return for Season 5. The show had been scheduled to begin production in the spring of 2022, however, it was later reported that it would be canceled. “[We] very much wanted to bring Good Girls back for one more season to conclude the story, but sadly, we were unable to make the financials work,” said one NBC employee when asked about the show’s termination.
After the program was canceled by NBC, fans thought Netflix might pick it up for the fifth season, but there are no more hopes.
