The First Peek Trailer for Top Boy Season 4 Foreshadows Doom for Dushane.

Netflix’s Top Boy season four trailer has just been revealed, with the new season slated to premiere later this month.

The new teaser gives fans a preview of what they may expect in upcoming episodes, including some danger for fan favourite Dushane Hill, played by Ashley Walters.

We see Dushane attempting to recruit Jamie Tovell into his gang following his victory over Jamie, which results in Summerhouse becoming exceedingly flush – or as Dushane puts it, “more money than you’ve ever seen in your life.”

While it appeared as though things were improving for Dushane, events rapidly took a turn that threatened to topple the house of cards.

When Will Top Boy Season 4 Be Released?

Top Boy season 4 (technically season 2) is set to premiere on Netflix on March 18, 2022.

Ashley Walters teased a promotional poster for what appears to be the fourth season of Top Boy in late January 2022.

The image depicts Dushane’s face with the words ‘before’ scrawled across it in graffiti, with the release date confirmed later.

We’re aware that you’ve been requesting the Top Boy date for some time now… so we decided to put it on London’s largest billboard to settle the matter once and for all. MARCH 18 WILL SEE THE RETURN OF THE TOP BOY “Netflix published a tweet.

Ashley Walters stated in an interview with Capital XTRA that filming for Top Boy began at the end of last year and has continued into the new year, adhering to rigorous COVID-19 requirements.

All I can say is that we are now filming,” he explained. “It’s difficult; we have a large cast and a large team; there are a lot of individuals engaged.

Filming is quite strange due to the way we have to set it up and ensure that certain persons do not mix with others.

However, we are unquestionably filming! We should be finished by the end of the year, and ideally it will be released shortly thereafter.”
Netflix published a clip of Ashley Walters and Kano on the set of Top Boy season 4 in December 2020. (Okay, technically this is season 2 of this new wave, but you get the picture.)

The pair revealed that they are presently filming the show’s upcoming season.

Who Will Star in Top Boy Season 4?

Top Boy Season 4

Netflix’s Top Boy season four trailer has just been revealed, with the new season slated to premiere later this month.

Dushane’s patriarch Ashley Walters will return, while Kano (actual name Kane Robinson) will reprise his role as Sully.

Jamie will be played by Michael Ward, Shelley by Little Simz, and Jasmine Jobson will reprise her role as the tough Jaq.

Hope Ikpoku Jr. and Araloyin Oshunremi return as Jamie’s brothers Aaron and Steph, while Keiyon Cook reprises his role as Atz.

Of course, there are some characters who are unlikely to return. Jason, played by Ricky Smart, meets his sad end in a house fire in episode four of the previous season. Sully shot Dris in the final episode after he betrayed Dushane (although many have pointed out that, while we heard the gunshot, we didn’t actually see Sully shoot him.)

Dave’s portrayal of the crazed escapee Modie got rave reviews following the show’s premiere. However, his character met a grisly end when Sully’s acid attack left him half blind – he was shot by police as a result of his reckless driving.

Ashley Walters, Kano, Michael Ward, Little Simz, Jasmine Jobson, Hope Ikpoku Jr., Jolade Obasola, Kadeem Ramsay, Saffron Hocking, and Araloyin Oshunremi will all reprise their roles, while a few newcomers will join the group.

Adwoa Aboah joins the group as Becks, Erin Kellyman portrays a figure dubbed Pebbles, and Nolay portrays Mandy — a character who appears to have ties to several of the cast.

Dushane and Sully’s friendship is also strained as a result of Dushane framing Jamie’s brothers, and the new cooperation could exacerbate the pair’s tensions.

Additionally, Sarah and Lee were revealed to be undercover agents probing Dushane, implying that the current top boy will likely feel the heat in season four.

Ronan Bennett, the show’s creator and writer, has said that future episodes will continue to explore Sully’s more sensitive side, which was left reeling in season three after witnessing his friend/surrogate son Jason (Ricky Smarts) die in an arson attack.

Certainly, with the next season, we’re taking that a step farther!” Bennett stated regarding Sully’s newly discovered vulnerability.

Is Top Boy Coming to an End After Season 4?

Netflix resurrected Top Boy for two seasons, the first of which premiered in late 2019 and the second of which is scheduled to premiere later this year.

Given that the streaming provider has not stated officially that Season 4 will be the final instalment, this strongly implies that a fifth season will be commissioned. Additionally, given Netflix’s history of withholding viewing data for its material, we don’t know how delighted the streamer is with the show’s most recent instalment: season three.
