It’s little surprise that Vikings Valhalla has taken over Netflix, quickly rising to become the most-watched show on the streaming service within 24 hours of its debut.
The spin-off series, which is largely based on history and mythology, continues the storey of the original Vikings series by bringing it 100 years closer to the present, where the world is changing but the power struggle continues to be waged.
Having witnessed season one’s slaughter and nail-biting conclusion, viewers are now eager to learn when they will get to see more of the characters (at least, the ones who are still alive).
Here’s all you need to know about the process.

When can we expect to see the second season of Vikings: Valhalla on the small screen?
There’s good news! However, while we do not yet have an official release date for season two of the show, we do know that it is on its way, and if the show’s creators have anything to do with it, it will be released sooner rather than later.
“I am just finishing up the editing of the last episode of season two this week and I am dying to get it out there,” Jeb Stuart revealed to Digital Spy in an exclusive interview before the premiere of season one.
Additionally, he stated that season three is currently in the works, with filming set to begin in Ireland later this year.
As he said, “Season three is incredibly exciting, and my Vikings are finally free of Scandinavia, so we have a lot of amazing surprises and storylines to look forward to in season three.”

Vikings Valhalla season 2 cast members include: Who exactly is in it?
A large portion of the remaining cast is expected to return for season two, with Sam Corlett (Leif), Frida Gustavsson (Freydis Eirksdóttir), and Leo Suter (Harald Sigurdsson) all nearly certain to return for more brutal confrontations in the second season.
In addition, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, who portrays the power-hungry Olaf, is expected to return.
Soren Pilmark (King Forkbeard) and Bradley Freegard (King Canute) will almost certainly return as well, given that they each have scores to settle with the other cast members.

Because we’re talking about Vikings’ history, there’s a lot to unpack in season two, as you might expect.
After all, was said and done, Kattegat was in ruins and on fire, with Freydis and Harald looking down on the realm as it burned to ashes.
Leo Suter, who portrays Harald, has teased Digital Spy about what is in store for his character and Freydis in the future, including the possibility of a romance.
He explained to us: “Two people who are… they have a lot to say and they get along extremely well with one another. At the same time, powerful forces and intense desires are tugging them apart, and as with any love storey,
There are complications. It’s a simple storey in some ways, but it’s also complicated in others.”
However, following the unexpected death of his close warrior companion, Liv, Leif appeared to be prepared to pursue retribution for what had occurred.
