The Witcher Season 2 Trailer And What It Holds
Given how much of the first season revolved around Geralt’s pursuit to honor the Law of Surprise that binds him to Ciri, the heir to the throne of Cintra. It’s no surprise that The Witcher season 2 teaser begins right where the pilot season left off. Towards the final episode, Geralt has finally caught up to Ciri and takes her to Kaer Morhen, the place where honed his witcher skills.
Presumably, he intends to teach her the ways of the Witcher as she deals with the loss of her home and family. Ciri sometimes admits that “sometimes I feel so scared, I feel like I might burn the whole world.”
Yennefer of Vengerberg, the third and last member of The Witcher’s core triumvirate, can be seen briefly after the final Battle of Sodden Hill in season 1. She’s been captured by Fringilla who played a key role in Cintra’s downfall.
Another trailer shows Geralt fending off a monster to keep Ciri safe from harm while the other shows Geralt’s friendship with the newly introduced character, Nivellen (Kristofer Hivju).
The Witcher Season 2 Teases Vesemir
When Geralt and Ciri showed up at the Witcher’s bastion of Kaer Morhen, fans got a slight glimpse of Vesemir(Bodnia). Bodnia is the newest member of the original cast that includes Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Henry Cavill as the White wolf, Joey Batey as Jaskier, and Freya Allan as Ciri.
Vesemir is a pivotal figure in both the Andrzej Sapkowski-penned novels and the CD Projekt RED-developed video game series of the same name. Also, Vesemir is the protagonist of the animated series ‘Knightmare of the Wolf’. He’s among the few survivors of the battle that decimated the entire school of wolf. Vesemir has raised Geralt since he was a little timid boy as is like a guardian to him, a relation he shares with all its pupils.
