Squid Game ranks among the best South Korean Drama that ever landed on Netflix. The plot centers around a life-or-death children’s game, a game where 456 people hailing from all walks of life are gambling their fate to win ₩45.6billion ($39 million). In which anyone who fails would be killed and the ones with the promise to be entertaining and addictive should find success.
There’s hope for an equally exciting and promising second season, but Netflix is yet to make an official reveal. On a good note, Netflix has increased its presence and investment in Korea, so there’s a chance will see a second season, especially considering the possible extended plot set-ups that were suggested in Season 1.

‘The Squid Game’ Season 2 Date?
While The follow-up season for The Squid Game hasn’t been officially revealed, but even if it is talking, the rumors will carry it to us.
Production on season one of Squid Game lasted two years since the news surfaced talking about the Squid Game.
The first installment was a success so that gives us why, all we have to figure out is when. Since we’ve most of the pieces of the puzzle, we’re pretty hopeful, that the second season should arrive in late 2022.
Squid Game Season 2 plot
Towards the end of Squid Game’s season one, the show’s protagonist Gi-hun won the game and it’s all over or so he thinks! On the heels of the games’ mastermind death, the race to the finish is still in play now with a fresh batch of contenders. Gi-hun might return as the star of the show and do his best to halt the game exactly as he promises at the end of season one.
Furthermore, that situation has a slightly eerie feeling, and it’s difficult to see how Gi-hun might vanquish the game developers, even with his newfound fortune. However, if the plot does choose to end Gi-hun’s story there are several different ways in which Squid Game can proceed for its second installment.
Squid Game Season 2 Cast
Assuming Netflix gave the green light for the second season, it is most likely that Lee Jung-Jae would reprise his role as Gi-Hun as the majority of the players succumb to their fate.
In all likelihood, the battle royale will spawn a completely new supporting cast, such as Park Hae-soo, Oh Yeong-Su, and Jung Ho-Yeon, all of whom will return in the flashbacks.
