Priyanka Chopra visits Syrian refugees, gets trolled and hits back with fitting reply

NEW DELHI: Actress Priyanka Chopra, a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, is currently in Jordan under the organisation’s initiative to educate the Syrian kids who were displaced and uprooted from their homes and even loved ones because of the civil war.

While Chopra took to social media to share moments of her Jordan itinerary, a certain Twitter user decided to take the opportunity to remind Chopra to visit rural areas of India where “malnourished children are waiting for food”. Priyanka known to express her views openly replied with a firm response to his jibe that deserves every bit of your respect.

Actor Priyanka Chopra is not just one of the most successful actors in Bollywood, she has managed to make quite an impression with her stellar acting and presence in the Hollywood as well. But more than just acting, the Quantico actor is also known for taking up many causes.

The world must do more to help Syrian refugee children get an education, Chopra said after chatting and joking with young refugees at an after-school centre in Jordan’s capital.

After the civil war in 2011, large number of Syrian families were either killed or forced to leave their homes. Since then, these families are struggling for survival inside Syria or are taking shelter in neighbouring countries like Jordan.
